With increasing demands on delivering environmental preferable timber products, Sakkho has successfully achieved Chain of Custody (CoC) certification for following standards as set by the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC). The FSC certification obtained by Sakkho guarantees that the timber used in the production of our wooden products marked as FSC Certified comes from responsibly managed forests, as defined by strict environmental FSC standards, and from other rigorously controlled sources. This important certificate and unique Chain of Custody Code Sakkho received (number SCS-COC-003452) allows the traceability of our timber from the forests to the end user. By including FSC Certified products to our range of non-FSC Certified products, Sakkho takes another important step in its strategy of environmental ethics sending a clear message to the community and our professional clients showing how committed we are to being credible and value our world’s natural resources.
The Forest Stewardship Council is an international organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. FSC is nationally represented in more than 50 countries around the world; FSC Certification is globally recognized by Governments and other organizations as well as promoted by “heavy weights” green activists such as WWF, Greenpeace; and the FSC has the only globally valid standard that is no barrier to trade under the World Trade Organization (WTO) which is exactly what was needed for SAKKHO.
