With increasing demands on delivering environmental preferable timber products, Sakkho has successfully achieved Chain of Custody (CoC) certification for following standards as set by the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC). The FSC certification obtained by Sakkho guarantees that the timber used in the production of our wooden products marked as FSC Certified comes from responsibly managed forests, as defined by strict environmental FSC standards, and from other rigorously controlled sources. This important certificate and unique Chain of Custody Code Sakkho received (number SCS-COC-003452) allows the traceability of our timber from the forests to the end user. By including FSC Certified products to our range of non-FSC Certified products, Sakkho takes another important step in its strategy of environmental ethics sending a clear message to the community and our professional clients showing how committed we are to being credible and value our world’s natural resources.
The Forest Stewardship Council is an international organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. 3. Non Certified Timber | From Controlled and Legal Plantations
It is not always possible to supply product manufactured with certain type of timbers labelled as FSC Certified products; therefore, Sakkho also offers non-certified timber products which are manufactured using wood sourced from controlled and legal plantation zones such as from the Javanese forests administered by Perum Perhutani. This is the leading Java teak forest plantation management of forestry sector in Indonesia undertaken by Ministry of State Owned Company of Republic Indonesia already committed to following the FSC program.
